This Privacy Policy explains how MALCONTENT ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). See also our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see your password in plain text).
- Campaign content: Content you create for your campaign pages, including text, images, and video.
- Uploaded content: When someone submits a video through a campaign's upload widget, we collect the video file and any optional information they provide, such as a note, Instagram handle, or TikTok handle.
- Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment details directly. We do not store your full card number.
- Usage information: We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Process subscription payments and manage billing;
- Send transactional emails, such as account confirmations, welcome messages, and notifications about new uploads to your campaign;
- Provide customer support;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and keep the Service secure.
3. How We Share Information
We share information with the service providers we use to operate MALCONTENT, including:
- Supabase, for our database, authentication, and file storage;
- Mux, for video hosting and processing;
- Stripe, for payment processing;
- Resend, for sending transactional email.
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal information.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of MALCONTENT, our users, or others.
4. Data Retention
- Uploaded videos are automatically deleted after the retention period associated with the relevant campaign's plan at the time of upload (see our Pricing page for details) — as short as 5 days on the Free plan.
- We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at areyoumalcontent@gmail.com.
5. International Data Transfers
Our service providers are primarily based in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed and stored outside of Canada, including in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18 years old.
7. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at areyoumalcontent@gmail.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
